"It was a chilly fall day in Toronto, and I was unwinding by the fire with a book and a nice glass of wine. The vino got me feeling aroused, so I laid down next to the fire and took a few pics. Nothing feels better than bare skin on a bear-skin rug."

"On ISM I can be myself, more than I can be in real life, in my mind I'm dirtier than in my bed. So I wanted to put a dirty idea in practice and shoot myself. Christmas in Romania has a lot of traditions, religious... but I wanted to be something different. I'm not a religious person. This is me in a folio anti-Christmas traditions, but in a sweet way, with lot of candies and colors."

"At home alone, no better time to get naked and feel beautiful about myself and enjoy a normal, lazy day at home. I wish I was able to sit in front of the fridge naked everyday, I love the feel of the icy cold air prickling my skin and giving me goosebumps. Home is where the heart is and my heart is home naked."

When we met Edie, her photos were cute and sweet, her hair shoulder-length until the end of the set. As she blinked up into the last few pictures, her head newly shaved smooth, her gaze took on an extra presence, a gravity, as if she'd come into herself in that very moment. Now, post-epiphany, Edie has evolved as a woman and as an artist, growing her hair out again into a new phase of her beautiful life.

"It was very liberating but also a little itchy. It helps to not really be scared of spiders but it's their choosing - they're just exploring like I am. Finding new places to get naked in was great in that you get to see places in a different light - even without a camera; you have a more intimate experience with a place. I'm a very tactile person."

"We are very good friends, it was really beautiful to make pictures together. We have confidence and we are not shy to be naked together. For us it's not a problem. Sometimes it was hard to get get two of us in the frame together. For one person it's hard, for two it's even harder. That's why we used the mirror for a lot. But it was really fun. We enjoyed it a lot."

"My shots were scattered throughout my home and backyard, which was difficult to manage with two housemates with different working hours. At first it was difficult to find photos that I wanted of myself, but I then came to accept that some photos might be appreciated by others. This was so much more difficult than I thought it would be! But now that I've done it, I am more confident in my body than I have been previously."

"This folio was shot only in Ecuador. Times spent hiding in a storage room in rehabilitation center for Amazonian animals with the rescued Toucan was definitely a highlight to my photography journey. He was not harmed and was used to hanging out with people all day. A waterfall in a mountain rainforest was close call as I nearly got caught by some of the residents out collecting firewood. I hid behind some trees and laughed."

Wow Mylene... a trip down memory lane with you is really, incredibly nostalgic. Maybe it's the music, maybe it's the misty quality of your old photographs... the sound of your adorable voice... your sweet brown cat popping bubbles... we're feeling a little teary eyed. Moved. This is probably the closest equivalent to a real-life experience we'll ever have on a website. Well done Mylene.

We're going to miss a lot of things about newspapers when they finally go the way of the 8-tracks. The way the print would come off that cheap paper onto your fingertips, reminding you for the rest of the day how you started it; the feeling of your arms stretched wide to accommodate its floppy breadth; and of course, the sight of naked girls spreading one out on the floor to read with her feet in the air. Fortunately, Sunny S has helped us by immortalizing that last one.

"Just set up a little camp site in the dunes. Getting tribal and trying to build a tipi but mainly just living in the sand, getting it in my eyes, my mouth, vagina everywhere! It's nice and soothing to be able to hear the beach all the time and being able to be naked all the time because no one can see. That morning at 5am, the beach was amazing. The waves were just huge and soft and misty. I've never seen waves like that before."

Oh you wild Justine - you know what they say about women who wear animal prints, don't you? That's right - they... absolutely... love... supporting wildlife charities and spending time with animals in their native habitats. Oh baby! Let's go on safari!

"I sorta had to sneak this time. I was on holiday with my partner and he didn't know anything about it. It was fun - it's like a naughty little girl sneaking around doing naughty things in the bush. It was actually better this time around - looking around to see if anyone was coming all the time, which was different to the comfort of my backyard. It felt like I was a part of the bush, like a little sprite or something."

"I was a bit nervous so I combed my hair and got ready to do my best. I wasn’t sure about which positions I did. How can you get yourself a nice photo of your ass? I was laughing myself all the time! I had a window in front of me and people could see me from the street, which caused me even more laughter and a sense of exhibitionism that I really liked. According to the light moving, I went to bed, where I made the photos that I like the most: lied, with the body stretched and looking straight to the camera."

It seems that Mylene has offered us almost a perfect reversal of the traditional getting-to-know-you paradigm, starting out naked and working her way backwards towards telling us where she's from... but if you think about it, minus a nudity taboo, it's really the same. Knowing how proud Mylene is of her own cherry jam is even more intimate than paging through her perfect selfies.
