| ARTISTS STATEMENT |
To me, I Shot Myself has been one of the most experimental, exposing, gratifying and empowering experiences of photography and self imagery I have had the pleasure to be a part of. I believe every person, regardless of whether they have a desire for sexual self-expression, would gain satisfaction and HUGE amounts of fun from creating their own, personal shoot. As photography has been a hobby of mine, this project has allowed me to step into the role of a model and allowed me to fulfill all of my artistic and photographic desires as they arise, regardless of how grotesque and bizarre others may find them. I hope those who view my images get as much or even more pleasure out of them as I did. :)
