ARTISTS STATEMENT

The ISM Project for me was to do an experiment on my self-image/self-love and explore a new form of creativity. I love to play music, cook, draw, write, why not take erotic photos of myself? I am one of those people who gets naked at any opportunity: at festivals, parties, beaches & swimming holes. The most common reaction I get is that people laugh, "Lost your shirt again??" I don't think there's anything strange or 'funny' about the naked body. I used to think my vagina was ugly, it has many 'velvet curtains', and I envied more dainty and quaint pussies. During my shoot I had a great time taking angles and views of myself that I'd never seen through an artistic eye (ok, we all look at our vaginas in a hand mirror every once in a while but this was completely different!) Immense gratitude to Feck for providing and inspiring a radical erotic exploration playground for me!
