nice to stop by and warm up

always such a pleasure to stop by here and warm up.
-15 deg f here in chicago with the wind chill.
that is -26.11 celsius for all of you in far away warm lands.

how is it where you are?

At almost midnight (Saturday night) my somewhat dubious thermometer tells me it's +27C if that makes you feel better.

I can't even begin to imagine what -26.11 feels like right now.  Tis funny when hot it's hard to imagine what the cold is like and conversely it's hard to imagine hot weather when it's cold.  Well that's what I've found anyway.

actually for the next 2 days the temps will be -31.66.
once it gets that cold -21 or -33 or -55 just all feels the same, painful teehee

we have to keep water running or the pipes will freeze.

but the SUN IS SHINING haaaaa!

Today we were about 37C and tomorrow predicted to be 38-40C.  We are on severe water restrictions so the idea of "keeping the water running" is very foreign to me.

What I would give to be in your climate and perhaps vice versa.  At least in cold weather your can snugggle together.

well in this bitter cold with the pipes under the floor boards between apartments, the heat when this cold is ineffective in keeping standing water in the pipes from freezing.

i know you are under water restrictions, saw it on cnn.   the next half century is going to bring a rise in temps of up to 9deg worldwide.   that is huge on a global scale.

i wish we had responsible enough leaders worldwide to ACT NOW to avert or scale back to some degree, what mother nature may have in store for us with our wicked global warming ways.

It's crappy and rainy up here on what we call vacation (in Humboldt county (no, we didn't go for THAT (not that I have anything against THAT, but still...))). I have to say it's awfully nice being stuck indoors in an elegant historic hotel all weekend with not much to do. Here's to being rain-bound! *clink*

so nice especially when you have another to curl up with.
we should be a bit snow bound here today getting up to 12 inches.
i may get to do that shoot in the snow with another girlfriend....;)
