I like throwing Autumn leaves up in the air, rolling around in them and being completely covered with them and hidden. Which is a lot easier to do when your 8 years old. Though the only difference between being 8 years old and an adult is, you just  need more leaves smile

Spring time is my favourite for sure because it is full of hope and new smells wafting along in the breeze and new life and everything starts to come alive and buzz with a different more dynamic energy.

definitely one of my fav's.

Summer is nice too, hot and sweaty and lazy .. as long as I don't have to do anything important or difficult like work .. then its hopeless, or rather then I am hopeless.

i bet that if i relocated to another place other than the hot and humid midwest of the usa i would come to enjoy summer more.   how are the summers in sydney?

Autumn is looovly when you are in a place where there are lots of deciduous trees and you can frolic amongst the leaves on the ground ... but unfortunately here in Sydney there are not many such trees .. and even where there are .. they are all confused by the inconsistant weather and don't seem to drop their leaves till winter and they just miss out on all the gold and orange and reds and go straight to brown sad  There is beautiful light here in the autumn afternoons .. but I have been feeling this kind of mild panic and aprehension lately because I know that as beautiful as Autumn might be, It means winter is just around the corner.. and I never have enough warm winter clothes and I don't have a heater and oh and I don't have anyone to snuggle up with on all those cold winter nights

autumn...absolutely my fav, even though it does signal the onslaught of winter (and the winters here can be brutal).   one thing this part of my country DOES have going for it is phenomenal colour changes in autumn.   i usually head down to the southern reaches of illinois to the Shawnee National Forest where i went to college, and just run amuk.   a fab area of rolling hills and forest foliage and farms...and always the smells of some farmer burning something and its still warm enough to get comfortably crazy in the woods without (ahem!) wearing too much   wink

.. maybe I should start preparing now and by the time winter arrives .. all be all set to enjoy the season for all its snuggling and rugging up opportunitys.

now i do find it hard to believe that you do not have anyone to snuggle with in the winter teehee

I don't think my boobs change that much with the seasons .. is that strange ???

perhaps its more of how we perceive and enjoy them than actual physical changes.
enjoy your autumn.

Early spring.  those first few days of sunshine and genuine warmth.  New leaves on the trees.  The sound of birds nesting.  All the girls have that extra flick in their hips as they walk.  It's all so sodding life afirming!!

Max, clearly you have never experience the amazing high one gets from cooking in a sauna for half an hour and them jumping naked into a snow drift! Not to mention the effect it has on everyone around you ;-)

The amazing high you refer to would be cardiac arrest then would it Belgareth?

In Sweden, where I was introduced to it, it's exactly the opposite, it stimulates everything to just the right level.

In the UK I guess you can probably forget the cadiac and just get arrested.

"The season for loving."

Actually,  living in a beach town,  Summer has it hands down.  It's when the girls stop wearing clothes.

"Apple of my Eye", "bated breath", "brave new world", "caught red-handed" - all coined by Shakespeare.

finding the shoot by Xavier - 'brisk' made me remember another reason why i love winter...dashing out wearing only a long wool overcoat and boots.
quite exhilirating feeling the 'wind chill' travelling up your coat from beneath...really lets you know you are alive i can tell you.

im a summer girl
theres nothing i like better than sitting by the pool with an ice cold drink on a hot summers day. going skinny dipping and the smell of the trees and evening air, its hard to discribe but the smell of freshly cut grass is just beautiful. i dont like the water in the winter because it's to cold when you get out (and i can be a bit of a wimp) but i do go in the spa. (sex in the spa is the best because in some of them you can move the jets... well you get the rest... lol)

Re: what is your...?

I don't really have a favourite season, though I do look forward to summer the most, probably because it's nice weather and also usually been when I've had time off work and school.

I like summer because of daylight savings, swimming in rivers, wearing my bikini and short shorts nearly every day.

Autumn has a nice smell. Rain, glorious rain. And fog.

Winter has fog and hot chocolate.

Spring is cold but bright.

The autumn/winter fog is something just so beautiful. I took these between 9:30 and 10am a couple of weeks ago, the fog had still not completely lifted by midday. So magic.

Re: what is your...?

The cold weather that's settled in with the onset of official winter here compels me to weigh in and say that I love summer and nice mild autumns. I love how the warm weather makes me forget what it's like to really be cold, though it makes times like we're having now even more miserable. I think I shall go feel sorry for myself in a nice warm bath. (By the way, it's not even that cold compared to what I grew up with, I've just grown soft from this decadent North Island living).
