Thank you. That was shot while I was trying to imitate a Sasquatch walking thru the woods.

Ever seen Death Race 2000?  That's what Australian traffic is like. 20 points for pregnant women, all that...?

In actuality, I wasn't biking against traffic - I was riding through a green light, and a car coming the other way sped up and turned in front of me.  So I hit her head on to the side of her car.  But meat met metal, I didn't pee my knickers, and came out alright in the end.

I'm so pleased that you came out of it in one piece Catt.

My disagreement with a car, whilst riding my bike a number of years ago, was almost identical to yours. Like you, I remained perfectly dry, even though I was slightly bent out of shape for a while but I do remember thinking to myself as I was gliding through the air, "what are all those lights down there, I didn't notice them before". Then it hit me - they were street light - and the ground was one hell of a long way off!

To pick up on the Chinese aspect of this thread - I'm an Earth Rat - you may all make whatever you like from that piece of information.

Weeeelllll...I'm older than I feel but younger than my beard ;-) xo js...how old do you THINK I am, Catt?...it's fascinating how we form assumptions based upon somewhat limited data, myself included. Like, if we got all of the regular posters here together face to face I'm sure there would be many surprises...I know this activity that can be done with groups that gives limited data about scenario, then you form conclusions individually based upon the data and then share it with the group...it's truly enlightening the vastly different assumptions that are formed...

It's a shame she's not overly into boy bits, otherwise this could have been a rather romantic tale to tell the grandkids.

And I didn't fly high enough to see streetlights below me (!!!) - I'm afraid I'm not quite so aerodynamic.  Were you badly injured?  On a tangent, I haven't met a single motorcyclist who hasn't been involved in a hairy situation on the roads, and most of the cyclists who share the bike lane with me have the same frozen look of fear and steely concentration that I have to shake off my face as soon as I reach the safety of home.  It's a bit worrying...

You are totally un-rat like, Bel.  I spoke with Confucious, and we've decided to re-name you as a Tiger.

I dunno, Mr. Scratch.  From your original image, you looked to me like a lad in the backstreets of Bangkok, living off $5 a day as you surfed and slept your way through a backpacking vacation.  I'd say early 20's, 25 at the most.

And you're absolutely correct re: "if we got all of the regular posters here together face to face I'm sure there would be many surprises..." - for example, in reality, I'm a beardy 48 year old Star Trek fan named Bruce.

The Internet is perfect for many people, for many reasons.  Not all of them above board.  I've been online for around 8 years now, and I believe that I'm fairly open and honest in general, whilst still being cautious enough to protect myself from those who a little more dubious in their reasons for being around.

I've found it's better to just ride by bicycle on the pavement, theres usually loads of emty space there, and when you do meet a padestrian, it's them that has the frozen look of fear and I can usually relax. Problem solved smile

Funnily enough, Blissed, I DO ride on the pavements part of the way.  That's because I trust myself with pedestrians more than I trust cars with me.  At least I'm keeping an eye out for them, which is more than I can say for motorists.

But yes, giving them a fright is quite the lark *S*

You, Bruce my dear, are very perceptive for a middle aged Trekee...right on the surfing and Bangkok part...though I think that photo was actually shot in Phuket, where there is periodic surfing...surfing in Bangkok is a bit tricky since the Chao Phraya River rarely has much of a swell ;-), ...not to mention a plethora of diseases and parasites, but I have a hunch there are many other swells in Bangkok....And I don't travel with my backpack much anymore...though I love vacations that are a mix of luxury and dirtbagging. And ok..the age thing - you are REALLY flattering me here....don't...stop...(blowing many kisses)...js

Either I'm really pereceptive, or I just outed myself as a peeping tom *grin*

As for my surfing faux pas, I must admit I'm not (as of yet) a citizen of the world.  Nor much of a surfer *S*

Lastly, flattery?  I would never sell so cheap nor stoop so low.

I'm into anything (well nearly anything) that makes money. However, the more pressing issue would have to be Kitty's ringtone. I've spent so much time editing video, I've nearly forgotten how to hack audio without the pictures!
