In light of the recent folios (and good ol' St Pat's Day) I thought I'd share a little tidbit I heard on the radio this morning. It seems that a recent scientific study testing pain thresholds with blondes, brunettes and redheads concluded that the reds can withstand as much as 25% more pain than their counterparts.

I mentioned this tidbit to a friend of mine the other day and we spent a little time trying to puzzle out why exactly this would be.  This is what we came up with.

Many redheads are of Irish descent.

Ahh, syllogisms!  Somehow I don't think Aristotle would be pleased.
