I haven't done a shoot yet -- been moving, sick, busy, sick again...

But, here is a self-portrait taken at 4AM after a long bout of glorious sex with my boyfriend ... I'm not wearing any make up!

Thanks! It's a bathrobe my boyfriend got me for X-mas! Very comfy yet also sexy. (My favorie combination for clothes!)

Thank you! It was just a matter of having a camera at the right place at the right time. Which sometimes happens when you are a photographer dating another photographer. Although sometimes we are both scratching our heads saying, "Where are all the cameras?!"

As for the sexy ... well, good sex always makes me *feel* sexy! If I don't get laid for a long time, some of the life starts fading from me....

All I can say is that, beautiful as you are, sometimes i wonder if you give as true a picture as you might be suggesting. You are probably one of the people I admire most; but in a wierd (pedantic) sense I did wonder why you were biting your lip in that picture...it seemed such a cliche...is it tongue in cheek? because you are way beyond that ridiculous feigned coquettishness so typical of SHITE porn... you are a beautiful, candid, sexy woman; who knows her sexuality and owns it, that is why i adore you.

Everything I do in pictures is "true," in that I do what I want to do, for me. I wasn't planning on posting that image when I took it, I was just having fun with the camera. I felt like biting my lip at the time (it might actually have been in concentration -- I do bite my lower lip when focusing on something sometimes) and so I did.

That said, I have, long ago, crossed the line between natural and artifical. I pose for the sheer pleasure of it, now -- even at home, alone, I often will adjust my various limbs or torse to a more aesthetically pleasing position. Just for me. I am an artist, and "myself" is an artform I work on just as much as my photography or writing. More perhaps, considering time spend shaving, moisterizing, dying, plucking, making-up, etc. I have no problem with that -- it's fun and enjoyable and I work it into my life so that it flows harmoniously with the other stuff-I-want-to-get-done. And when I take an image of myself, I capture all the parts, including my (by this time unconcious) aesthetic self-awareness.

Hmmm ... did that actually make any sense, or am I blathering?

All of that made a great deal of sense to me but, hey, I'm only a male of the species. It's interesting that Liandra voiced some of my own thoughts, because I have become aware that some females do seem to have blurred the boundaries between the natural and the artificial, making it difficult to assess where, or even if, those boundaries exists for them any more. Therefore, I have to say thank you for enlightening me with you own viewpoint.

I agree, Bel. In fact wouldn't you say that this is one of the best threads ever posted? The pics and comments (casual as they may be) have been the most interesting.
