Quick question just for YOU...Is it just me or does the music detract from the videos themselves? A big part of the videos are the opinions/environments/noises from the girls. I believe they give us insight into their creative personality which makes up a large % of the site what defines this site. Do the artists themselves appreciate their comments being dubbed over with music? Any opinions from artists/video watchers?

YES! I find the music very annoying in most of the videos where it has been used (or abused). And most of it has been pretty mediocre in quality and not very well edited into the videos!

Hihi... just our two cents. Sometimes we find that the video sound quality is quite poor, as our artists set the cameras up themselves & often have to cope with several obstacles at once, such as multiple cameras and tripods and technical whatnot. Apart from needing the many hands of Vishnu for this precision work, it's often the first time they've used a digicam, and every now and then some technical issues arise.
In this instance (I'm sure you're referring to Xena's most recent submission Kitchenwhizz), Xena's original footage came back to us with no sound at all, and we were quite upset by it as it looked like a right buzz. As far as the music perhaps not being to your taste, may we suggest turning the sound down and putting on something you DO like? We try, but it's hard to please everyone at once - music is just one of those things. Our tracks are mixed just for us by Paul M, and we're always on the lookout for interesting tunes with a broad appeal.

I figured I would throw in my two cents since this is something I have thought about when watching many of the videos here on ISM. While in a very few instances I don't mind music in the videos, I must say most of the time I do not care for it. I think it is okay to have music in the videos if it is quietly playing in the background, not too loud which would draw attention away from the ladies which really should be the true subject of the videos and the music that they choose to play.
I too like to hear comments from the ladies about their thoughts about ISM and why the chose to do the project and such like that. Music in the vids a lot of times drowns out the ladies again taking the attention of the viewer away from the lady and unfortunately directing it toward the louder music that is drowning the girls voice out. To me things such as this are very distracting and videos such as this just don't do much for me.
Turning the volume down wouldn't do much either as we are way past the era of silent movies. Again these are just my two cents worth.
