alright people...

Now and then....but more often lately, since ISM has hosted so many diverse folios...we get ladies asking us if we've got any ideas for shoot themes.  Or they run their ideas past us in a "so has anyone ever..." kind of way, and more often than not, we have to break their chocolate coated  hearts.

So we reckon it's request time.  We're not promising anything, and how the idea gets handled will be up to the artist, but who can chip in some ideas for themes, locations, interesting apparatus or techniques?  Make them do-able, and the simpler the better.  Maybe not completely original, in fact your idea could be ironic or satirical.

ready....GO!

Re: alright people...

How about a series of recreations of Old Master paintings? There were a number of nudes done by the likes of Goya (The Naked Maja), Titian (Danae, The Venus of Urbino) and Velazquez (The Toilet of Venus aka the Rokeby Venus). How about re-interpreting those paintings, as Manet did with Olympia, his version of Titian's The Venus of Urbino.

And, though I doubt anyone has the skill to do it, how about unclothed versions of Vermeer's wonderfully atmospheric paintings?

Or, if that's too hard, do what the professionals do and go down to the beach at dawn and make use of 'The Golden Hour'!

Re: alright people...

just a few idle thoughts -

In the gym?  Uneven parallel bars, balance beam, rythmic routines? Still and video.

Weight training

An underwear shoot.  Trying on a dozen styles, points for pose, originality, revelation, style, lose points for thongs.

See through clothing back lit.

Japanese rope work.

mirror mirror mirror

dressing too daring for wearing in public

30 to 45 age group - you know, OLD  wink

xtreme close ups  - less than 6 inch range

personal most embarassing pose as the last parting shot on the folio.

Have I ever lied to you before?

Too naughty for public would be great. It should be in a very challenging location. The Opera house, for example, or atopt that bridge.(I don't know the name, but it's right there in view of the opera house)

...The reason I like this idea is Aussie law seems to be a lot more relaxed. Here in America, people would cry bloody murder if they see public nudity.

Just a thought.

Re: alright people...

I agree with voyeur on many, including the age and macros!  Where are the adorable older women?  Certainly one of the previous submitters has a mom who would be game???  Maybe an older sister or aunt?

The Olympics inspired me, maybe they inspired others?  Possibly some folios of nude sporting?  How cool was MARTI riding the horse?  I'm sure some of these girls enjoy playing a sport or two - why not nude?

Spring is upon us in some parts of the world,  nothing is more contrasty than bright flowers on soft skin!  Not to mention the YUM factor!

Lighting, lighting, lighting... Lighting and photography go together like nude girls and photography!  Out clubbin under hot lights, snap a few.  Sunset in the park?  Sunrise on the beach?  City lights at night?  Car headlights on a booty?

The professional aspect, sort of public too!  Any of these women who hold a regular 9-5 day job, take a camera along and be naughty in the bathroom, when out to lunch, the copy room, on the rooftop?  Don't get caught though!

What the duece?

Think drama.  Think of a plot.  Think of a story.  Even a fairy tale will do fine.  Tell the story in visual images.  If you can eroticise a well known story to give it a new twist, that would be exciting.  No, you don't need complicated sets and costumes and locations - keep it simple, use the imagination, and we'll get it.

Film homage!  Casablanca, Bladerunner, Amelie - the whole mix.

the beauty of simplicity is the complexity it attracts.

Re: alright people...

sorry if this is just too commonplace, and not really a concept, but more like some preferences and style ideas.

I like women who look like nice people, the kind one might meet in day-to-day life... not a sex bomb or a "pro", the natural type preferred (ie clean and scrubbed, minimal make-up, the kind who look good when they wake up), either on the classy side or on the innocent / next-door side... but either way, simple and fresh and not oversexed in her day-to-day persona.

I like the slow reveal... starting fully dressed and working out of things in no real rush. I love stolen glances... a shot down the loose blouse or a flash of panty... I like underwear but not the sleazo kind.... panties, teddies, camisoles... I like it simple and real,,, i.e. cotton... and I like to get the feeling that the model feels she is doing something exciting and outrageous and that doing this is a stretch for her.

The ones that are naughty, ie streaking or getting naked in public where there is some danger are always fun.

I like the outdoor shoots but I imagine they are more difficult in terms of lighting etc. ... a beautiful woman enhances any location, and nicely done interior folios are fine with me.

Well, automobiles have been done quite a bit, but how about some shoots on planes, trains and boats (something bigger than Cle's rowboat), preferably on the move and full of passengers?
