GM Bill owns a bunch of sites down under.  Girls out west, Abby winters, ISM, etc... Seems like they're working on an Erotic Story site too. Google knows all!

No it doesn't.  It only knows what people tell it, right or wrong.  in this case, somewhat wrong!

Yes I must have brought it over from the UK with me, a long with mad cow disease, and an'" in the dog house" neurological complex.

It's still prevalent in the UK - yours truly being an excellent carrier.

Somehow I don't see you as being associated with anything related to mad cow. Your brain appears to function in an exemplary fashion and I'd guess that your legs only wobble under very specific sets of circumstances.

I do hope that you have not been put in the dog house for such an enthusiastically executed error. It was the best bit of selling I've seen in years - even though it was under a non-disclosure agreement.

Re: Closed thread

I did a bit of googling myself. Did I assume wrong that most of the girls here had little or no professional experience, either behind or in front of the camera? Notice I said most and professional? In my googling I see some familiar faces in just a quick look. You all know who you are so I wont make a list. I dont have a problem with the ability to take the pictures its experiance in other lines of the porn industry that make me go Hmmmmmmmmm.

My heart broke a little wink Perhaps I am nieve after all?

A few quotes from THE PROJECT_ISM PRINCIPLE

a venue for ordinary people to unleash their inner exhibitionist

Among the contributors to ISM are artists of all media, professional and amateur photographers, students, housewives, professionals and the unemployed; ordinary women of all ages and sizes, from various ethnic backgrounds.

Stew

PS I am yet to be convinced of the all ages and sizes part.

I'm curious as to who has come up on a Google search.  I know of only one pro model on our site, a lingerie model, and this was her first ever nude shoot (for the net).  There are also maybe 3 girls on ISM who have their own amateur sites, and one from LA who I suspect has probably done a bit of porn there.  That's out of nearly 1800 contributors.

Because we're friends with abby winters, we do refer girls there and vice versa, and since the success of ur two sites, at least two others have started in this city and some of "our girls" have popped up there too.  Some girls who do ISM ask us to refer them to other sites because they enjoy it so much.  It annoys the shit out of me though, when people call our girls 'models', or worse, accuse us of using 'professional models' just because the girl appears on other website(s).  Think of the most 'exposed' girl on this site or abby winters, count how many shoots she's done over what period of time, guess at the payment rate, and you can quickly work out it can never be more than a hobby.  The majority of girls on ISM have never appeared on any other site anywhere and probably never will.  If a few do paid work for other sites, that doesn't make them professionals.  They all have day jobs/uni/dole/home duties.

The same happened to me and I felt the same way. But I think that says more about us and how we view women who are successful at this. I followed Paula into AW and if you go in the forum there, you'll find lots of delightful people who usually model part time. Their work is sensitive (Hi Dandy smile) and generous and gives a lot of pleasure, just like here. Mmm I'm in a very magnanimous mood today. but I don't think it's just that. I think it's us who've been indoctrinated into  hating someone subconsciously or otherwise that gives us pleasure.

I rest my case smile

Re: Closed thread

Even though there are few from other sites, or they end up doing other sites after this one, the majority of them are probably not all over the internet. This site still has a purity to it you can't find any other place because of the concept, which is what makes it great. 'Professional' models, or those who seek to be such, don't make serious money. A typical photo shoot in the US runs from $10 - $75 an hour. And anything over that is a girl with an extensive portfolio and would usually turn down 'in your face' nude internet work. With that said, it's obvious these girls aren't padding their bank accounts by any means by jumping from one site to another, etc....

Hmmm so Stew, you're the arbitrator or ordinary? You know that what your essentially saying is that because a girl may have previously done nude/porn work whatever she forfiets her right to contribute to a site that relies fundamentally on women's perceptions/inventions of sexy. Do you really believe that because she has modelled within the problematic cliches of conventional porn that she would be incapable (or even worse forbidden) of transcending those cliches?

Blissed, I think your spot on and Carl Jung (god luv him!) has quite a palatable way to justify this form of misogyny; the idea of the projected personal shadow, where all the icky manifestations of our repressed selves are projected elsewhere. In order for our psyches to cope, things we don't like about ourselves (usually socially conditioned) need to be purged. We all know how sexually repressed we all are and all this purging causes a 'collective projected shadow' which has created the 'Fallen Women', the 'Femme Fatale', 'the slut', 'homophobia' etc.

Okay now I'm going to get down off my social hypocrisy/'fallen women' soapbox...... before I start writing 'Vagina Dentata' and 'Mister Monster'!!!!!

Sorry to get all card-carrying feminist on your arses but Stew you kinda gave me flash backs to when I worked as a stripper and guys would say - your to nice to get a dance from but I'll take you out to dinnner. That, like disregarding a  girl whose done porn work is ever so condescending.

Stew please don't take this to heart you were just spunging up some of my projected personal shadow!!! wink

I'm on your side Maxi. People should be judged on who they are and not what they have done (with a few obvious exceptions) . At various times in my life, circumstances have put me in the position of being obliged doing things which are at odds with my natural instincts and I would certainly not wish to be assessed on them.

Oh jeeze. I am particularly enamoured with this site because it gave me (part-time model) the chance to take control of my images and the whole creative process. No photographer telling me what to do! I think that more "pro" models should shoot themselves so that they can experience the creative power of shooting themselves rather than being just the model.

There's T&A in here?  Where the hell have I been?  I thought it was all rhinos and bears drinking daiquiris while throwing throwies at each other.  I need to pay attention.  Or... I could join the crowd and drink more!

Sure, they'd be welcome.  In my post below I wasn't intending to dissuade models, rather, making a point that appearing on ISM does not make one a model.

But I think we can all agree that many of the women on this site could pursue professional modeling and be very successful doing so.  And quite a few more could easily become excellent photographers and sustain a wonderful living behind the lens!

What does T & A stand for. I didn't know Klingon war Nog actually existed. Are all the ingredients available on earth?
