It was the discussion in the "Orgasms" thread about certain similarities and differences between male and female which made me wonder whether there was a biological/physiological constraint in the female, despite the physical lack of need for it, similar to a specific one in the male.
The penis is used for both urinating and copulating but it is physically impossible, as far a I am aware, for it to be used for both at the same time. The more I am sexually aroused, the less easy it becomes for me to urinate and vice versa. The question is - does a female have a similar autonomic blocking mechanism, or can they do both at the same time? My female friends have said that they can't focus on sex with a full bladder (which makes sense) but I don't have any clear indications as to whether one function actually inhibits the other, as it appears to do in the male.
Isn't curiosity a wonderful thing. Thank heaven I'm not a cat - I'd be dead by now.

My understanding is that with the different types of orgasms women can have (cliotoral, vaginal or a combination) that with vaginal, being the stronger type, due to the contractions of the orgasm and how strong they are that urination can happen along with some of the other fluids that may get 'squeezed' through the urethra and the walls of the vagina. While I know for men its impossible I do often have a strong urge to go shortly after orgasm so there may be some connection. Im sure Liandra or one of the other ladies can shed a bit more light on this than I so please correct me if Im wrong!

Of course, it's possible to pee with an erection. And a friend once told me he'd seen a porn movie where the guy came and then immediately urinated.

Really? I can't. What is possible is that there is a sort of half way stage when you are just about stiff enough to penetrate and just about soft enough to pee. But it's very difficult to do either, and I certainly don't know how you could maintain that state.

I agree. One of the expressions my group of friends use is "a piss hard on". It's something that you wake up with and is painfull because you can't urinate until the pressure goes down, but it won't go down because of the pressure. You have to stand at the toilet and clear your mind and WILL the damn thing down. It ain't easy.

It is theoretically possible but I suspect that most people can't. With all due respect, I am interested in personal experiences (from both males and females). What appears to happen in a porn film (or any other film) is, at the very least, second hand, notwithstanding the editing that can be carried out between takes.

Mind over matter? If you don't mind it doesn't matter ;-)

My friend assured me that it was all in a single take. This was on 8mm in the 70s when editing wasn't quite so simple and seamless as it is today via digital technology. I guess it's an acquired skill - or maybe you're born with it.

Or more likely he had a semi hard schlong that was able to cum then piss right after. The bigger they get, the softer they are (so I hear) and it is possible the whoppers can't get to the stage where the bladder to urethra tube is blocked by the swelling.
Have I ever lied to you before?

as far as women are concerned, it can be incredibly uncomfortable for women to have sex on a full bladder, as there isn't anything blocking the release of urine. as someone said on the "orgasms" thread, sometimes a woman will release urine without realizing it because she is relaxed and enjoying the stimulation. also, you use the same muscles to push when you urinate as you do when you ejaculate (again i'm only speaking of women), so there are times when i just don't have any cum left, but i'm pushing those muscles, and i release a little urine. it's just a job hazard for the partner, but it's not terribly traumatic. so, to answer your question, i don't think women have the debated biological block from urination when aroused.

With all the "bio-hazard" scares there are today, it's amazing, there is any sex at all. We may all have to have "containment kits" next to our beds in the future.
"Oh, Honey, did you pack the portable spooge containment kit? They won't let us on the plane or through customs with out it."

My own personal experience is that I can pee with a full-on erection, (though it's difficult and I usually end up doing this because of a very full bladder, as it's very difficult to aim into the toilet). I can't pee when I am close to climaxing though. I think that switch that happens comes when a male is close to orgasm. Not necessarily just from having an erection.

Our sex hormone levels are managed by the pituitary measuring Estrogen levels. When its too low, gonotropin releasing hormone is released to stimulate the appropriate sex glands.
Men's estrogen level is mostly from a chemical reaction with a fraction of the testosterone. The process is called aromatization. Most of this happens in the liver, but also happens in fat cells. Low testosterone in men is usually a problem of too much estrogen and aromatization. Breast cancer drugs (yes!) fight this. This is generic baseball player and body builder info...

this is off-topic, slightly, but i sucked on Christine's clit the other day BJ-style and she came in what seemed like 30-seconds. i kinda rolled my tongue and sucked her in between my tongue and my upper lip, never tried that before. the way she squeezed the sides of my head i thought i hurt her, but she said "God no!" with a sweaty smile, so she liked it.

I love it when people do that to me. My current boy is amazing at it (and at oral sex in general). He is also the first person to introduce me to the fact that lightly nibbling the clit can feel pretty good.

It's something I was taught some while ago but don't assume it suits everyone. When the girl likes it, she tend to make it rather obvious (my ears will never stick out either as they've been pinned to the sides of my head too often!). There are a couple of girls I know who called a halt before getting to the stage you described because they were both way too sensitive in that area. So, to anyone else who considers trying it - gently does it - otherwise you may get more than your ears flattened,
