How sentimental

The other day Rocky Horror Picture Show was on tv, so I watched. I started having fond memories of sex education! I grew up in a conservative family in a conservative community, and sex ed wasn't covered by my parents or the school. Instead of talking to me about sex, my parents dropped me off at Rocky Horror Picture Show when I was 14. That was it. That was my sex ed. No wonder I turned out so freaky!!

So what sort of experiences did everyone else have with sex ed. Any fond memories? Or funny stories?

Our sex ed was fairly basic - girls giggling, boys blowing up condoms and punching them around the room.  And who can forget the fits of hysterics over the condescending 'educational' childbirth and "Know when you're ready/Wear protection, kids!" videos?  I'd like to meet whoever made those programs and ask if they ever figured out how to get to second base...

Mine's fairly bizarre.  I must have been in grammer school,  'cause I remember it was the one and only time I got to go into the girl's bathroom.  It was at the Cortez School in Covina, CA.  I never realized that Linda R was 1 or 2 years older than me until High School.  Her mom used to babysit me so I knew Linda for quite a while.

One day, she asked me if I wanted to know how dogs got married.  (I didn't have any pets of my own,  my parents wouldn't allow it.)  My closest pet was Linda's collie, who I used to play with.  I figured she would know what she was talking about,  so I agreed.

So it was on a weekend  and the school's didn't lock their bathroom back then,  so we went into the Girl's bathroom and Linda gave me a full demonstration.  I know I enjoyed it but it must have been too novel for me because I never followed up on it,  or knew I was supposed to.

I know I saw Linda briefly, once more, several years after that,  possibly in my Sophmore year at high school.   Man,  if only I knew then what I know now.

Re: How sentimental

SCSI girl had the best sex ed, IMHO.

my dad took me to McDonalds once when i was 11 for "the talk" on the drive there.
all he said was, "stay away from mastipee". that was the word he used "mastipee.'
and that's all he said, that one sentence.

i knew what he meant, but i didn't care. i'd been rubbing them out nightly since the summer started, although all i needed to do back then was squeeze scotty between my thighs a couple of times, for like 10 seconds...

My Sex Ed was also Rockys Horror Picture Show smile

Mmmmm. Without giving to much away, the RHPS's release was rather too late to provide me with any sex education and Emmanuelle was just a little too fuzzy for anything useful to be gained from it.

Re: How sentimental

i'll tell you how i learned the hard way that girls can be mean:

kindergarten. Ellie Fox (yes- her real name) comes up to me at coloring and asks me what my "bike" looks like. she says, "you know, your bike" and wiinks at me and asks me to draw a picture of it. so i do, a faithful recreation in crayon as only a kindergartener could, about filling the size of a letter-size paper wink

Ellie Fox holds it up, and yells for the teacher- "Scotty just drew this and gave it to me!!!!!"

i learned young.

Re: How sentimental

I've been ill for a few days because I accidentally ate some dairy and I'm lactose intolerant. While I was trying to sleep it off and keep my mind on something else I kept thinking of this thread and giggling at everyone's experiences. Thanks for sharing, everyone!!
