I saw a definition of the word Vagina some time ago... It said the Vagina was defined as a Potential Space... It did not actually become a Space until there was something in it... Always thought that was a unique definition...

I'm not a big fan of that definition. I'd rather define a vagina by what it is rather than what it isn't.

Laney   I have been formulating an explanatory response in my head for 2 days, and now I notice your reply has been edited and no longer says what it did the first time I read it    I gotta learn to think quicker...  lol

The female organ named Vagina is a unique and marvelous creation by nature to create a multi purpose organ completely unlike any other organ in either the female or male body... Virtually all organs are designed for a single purpose and every organ has its own unique shape and the organ walls maintain a constant space for the contents of that organ as required by nature to perform in its own designed way and purpose... If you remove the urine from a bladder, the vitreous humour from an eyeball, or the blood from a heart, the organs still retain their designed shapes and the walls still enclose the original space...

But the female Vagina is totally different as Nature has more than one use for this creation... When the Vagina is at rest and doesn't have something in it,  the walls collapse and they enclose either no space or very little space even though the entire organ itself does occupy space, just not as much as it can...

But when there is something inside the Vagina, nature's marvelous creation with its muscular and elastic properties, can expand to enclose and snugly hold as much space as is needed for the purpose it is being used... The enclosed space can expand to what is required so as to contain a finger, hand, or toy for pleasure, a male penis in any shape and size for both pleasure and/or procreation, or even larger to allow the passage of a miniature life form, any size and shape, into the world...

With all due respect to you as a female and a person with rights and feelings, had I even the slightest inkling that this definition would offend, I would not have posted it even though I think the definition is technically accurate and not sexist or negative in nature...

I do apologize Laney, there really was no intent to offend or infer that I consider the Vagina any less than the marvel it is...

Ok, no worries ashmedi. I interpreted "potential space" to mean "an emptiness that could possibly exist" and "space" to mean "emptiness". Therefore, my interpretation wad - the vagina is less than nothing, only becoming a void when penetrated by, traditionally, a penis. Now I see you interpret it as "the vagina is usually closed but can expand when penetrated". I know this intimately, it's a completely ordinary part of my life so it didn't occur to me that you would be so impressed by it.

It's not offensive, don't worry.

I am impressed and in awe of the complete female body as designed by Nature and am completely blown away by the diversity of this beautiful creation... ISM has been a profound learning experience and if you try to calculate the combinations even in just the female breast using all 3 major components, the combinations count into the billions, and it is more than likely that the number of calculations of possibility exceeds the total number of females on the face of planet...  It really is mind blowing...

Artemisia, I agree with you.  Many years ago, when I was a student, I had a classmate who bragged about stealing a pair of blue jeans from a large chain clothing store. This student was by no means poor, dressed like a hippy and espoused radical leftist political views.  He looked at me blankly when I told him that his theft didn't hurt the big bad corporation who, by raising their prices to cover theft, simply passed on the loss to the very low-paid and under-paid working class and welfare poor who couldn't afford to shop anywhere else. Another student who toted around a very expensive violin bragged about fraudulently getting food stamps from the U.S. Government and added that her very rich father applauded her doing so.  When I criticized her for undermining a good government program she made no reply but avoided me thereafter.  The rich are very good at protecting their own interests.  Having worked as a labourer both on a construction crew and in a factory, I told  yet another student stupidly espousing Marxist nonsense that if he talked like that to workers in a factory, the workers would beat him up.  He replied that one needn't work in a factory to know what's it like to work in a factory, I told him that this might be true but in his case it would help.  One expects more intellectual discipline from students.  Sigh.  Please understand that I most identify myself with pragmatic left of centre Scandinavian "socialism." Thank you for your intelligence, Artemisia.

Thanks Trevor for the reciprocating intelligence Sorry I've been away with a terrible cold, which meant that I've had to up the intake of terrible movies and elder flower tea.

I've also returned to share this documentary with y'all. If you're a cool kid you probably follow VICE documentaries pretty closely. I've had some great experiences with breathing mediation specifically Vipassana, and I think this guy might be onto something. Does anyone else have experience with breath work?
