Please report to ISM HQ tomorrow at 10 sharp at which time you'l be given the ISM Admin password, the keys to the executive fridge and 600 photo shoots to edit. Can I ask what are the little VOTE buttons for and how come they are not on all?
Also what does it mean by overload?

Ireally hope u like my folio..........It took a while to get the pics i liked.
I had so much fun and felt so sexy doing them ........Im very proud of them

The 'Vote' button is for the daily primary folio contribution only. Members can vote for their favorite artist (only 1 vote per week) and the contributor with the most votes is asked to reload.

Overload is a folio of a new contributor that gets posted every other day as a bonus for ISM Extra members to view. It's not a reload, but a never-before-seen artist.

(How'd I do, Head? When can I start working for you too??!)

Impressive though my skills of observation and pedantry are i shall have to knock back the ISM spelling and grammar mistress position, looks like you'll have to keep leaving those cunningly hidden bits of gramatical and spelling bait, and I promise not to notice anymore.

Your folio is good. It shows you spent some time thinking about the shots and how to accomplish the various 'looks'

Nice arrow.

the intro bunch are really good teasers. Lots of eye candy. I like short skirts, and white undies. Makes a great fashion statement.

I think the bellybutton treatment is one of the best I have seen in a long time. Definitely not the same old same old.

031 is a really good composition - frame, colour, like the lips, hair, nips, density of image.
068, another great portrait

hi brodypaling, looks like all positive comments here so far...but you did ask.

you're a pretty girl and in general I like the set but something didnt gell for me and after taking another look I realised it was the 'porn face' expression in many of the shots. the cliche open mouth and the innocent finger on the bottom lip?

please come back and reload but look at the other folios and the users comments there for tips as to what works well.

Please remember, I only comment if I think the Artist is good. But regarding the G_D post, yes - his point is valid.

I respond most positively to sets where the model/actress/artist is emoting genuine merriment, or a sort of grave concentration on the work, or kind of appearing to be just themselves in an intensly private moment.

You look waaay better as-is.

I look at folios with the assumption that contributors are submitting their images as an artist and photographer, not an actor.

Good convincing acting is very difficult - one reason there are so few top actors in film. The total package - brains, natural beauty, artistic flair, camera savvy, emotion projection is extremely rare. 4 out of five is really good.

This comment should really be sent to most contributors - maybe to the 'what makes a great folio' thread.

One sort of measure of quality is the number of spontaneous comments left on the folio. The broader the appeal, the more comments left.

And yes, there are equally valid arguments for narrower niches too - but Head will tell you - as a business broad appeal is best. Hence the concentration on young, healthy, attractive females and the exclusion of - say - old, only moderately attractive, males for one.

I think you did a fine job my dear. Any woman who gets naked and lets us all have a look gets 2 thumbs up from me and another part goes up too LOL. And as to GD comment on the "porn face", we all see so much of that look maybe it just came across that way. Maybe you did it almost with out realizing it. I didn't notice and I dont really care LOL. Nice shoot, nice tattoos and I love the arrow after I found it LOL I was looking for a tattoo D'uh. Rock on and do some more.

I had fun and i did put a lot of thought and time in to them.............in saying that it was my first time and i would love another go........................

It is very hard to get a good pic look great and all this without seeing what the lens is pointing at.........

BP -- I like your "porn face look" et al! Regardless of how you pose for the camera, it IS still you and that cannot be changed... Just keep shooting yourself (ISM style only please!!!), and I'll be waiting with baited breath to see the pics!

Do you actually read all the responses to a thread you specifically posted asking for us to give you feedback?

Sooooooo, there was bits I liked, bits I didn't. Overall a very good folio. It was a bit discouraging to me to see you apparantly ignore my response where I only mentioned the good bits, and focus on my reply to another response where some negative comment was given.

Soooo what do you want to be seen and judged for quality:
You?
Your art?
Your physical beauty?
your artistic presentation?
your use of colour?
use of setting?
coherent theme?
camera mechanics like framing, focus, lighting, background?
evidence of thought in creating the folio?
acting ability?

Seems to me acting ability is pretty far from the point here, and reality is closer to the expression most subscribers really rave about.

Yer stuff is real. Its good, I think there are areas for improvement. Sometimes less really is more.

If you weren't looking for this news why were you asking for feedback?

I also liked the folio bp but I offered some advice to look at the other folios for what works and what doesnt and some criticism on the facial expression. The 'porn face' is a commonplace cliché and 99.9% of the subscribers here come for the lack of boob jobs...tha girl next door, average girl thing.

Please dont take it as a personal knock because it was intended a pointer for the future...I hope you choose to reload

Thanx for the cheery reply to my thinly veiled irritation. Sometimes I take myself too seriously.

I to think you aught to get a crack at a reload - I saw plenty of talent in the first effort.

It is out of your hands in that Head chooses. And I suspect the choice is based on broad appeal. Hence my comments on other comments. The more comment the original folio gets, the more likely it is to earn a reload.

Your stuff is good, but the more ho hum some of the content gets, the less likely the whole thing will have enough broad appeal. To use a pun.

You probably have no idea how depressingly frequent that porn face is on other 'porn' sites. I have been looking at that pouty pose for years upon years. Would you believe since '88 on various bullitin boards. I suspect to you it is a bit of a lark to pull a pose like that - a sort of 'look at me being a porn queen'.

To us older debauched feeble minded voyeurs, that image is most often why we are here rather than 'there' looking at those vacant - dare I use the word vapid faces.

ISM is a class outfit - I do not think it belongs in the "porn" category. It is art. Of course art is more able to arouse than mere porn . . .
and mumble mumble fart fart.
