Realised why I'm loving the cover of the book I'm reading at the moment. It looks like one of our ISM ladies could have taken it!
(Good book so far btw)

Wouldn't surprise me if Nick is an ISM fan. I've been arguing with a friend that the book is basically autobiographical, not in the events but in his train of mind. She can't believe he's capable of such thoughts - like she hasn't listened to his songs!

Well as Heads friend I should clarify that it's not that I don't think him capable of such thoughts (obviously he is if as he wrote the text) but I don't think that it's a particularly autobiographical book, I read it (well actually I had it read to me) as a satire of a certain type of man and an unravelling of that mans reality. Nick Cave creates so many different characters in all his works, the best ones are the most depraved and they come from some part of himself but I don't think it necessarily makes the texts they inhabit autobiographical.
