Safeguard ............ that would certainly explain it.

Pretty good chance with that level of complexity that nobody will ever hack your UserID, and they'll get so frustrated they wont even try the password

So do you have it memorized ??  I'd have cheat and do copy/pastes 

Incidentally, don't know if anybody in the know saw your question or not, but ...
my educated guess is that 320x240 is all this particular site offers.

The sister sites, BA, offers 640x480 for the agonees and 320x240 for the confessions, and the other sister, IFM, offers 640x480 currently with some larger and with HD coming in another month maybe.
