2 questions:
do you currently screen and accept contributions by men?
do the contributors ever respond to comments?
great site... keep up the good work!

Re: contributors

SlimBig,

Good questions.  I was wondering the same thing myself on both counts.  It would only make sense particularly male/female couples "fighting for the camera" as it were.

Another thing that I was wondering was whether or not we'll ever see the pics that didn't make it into the artist's folio.  If you'll notice, the pics are not displayed sequentially suggesting that some didn't make the cut either because of quality or content.

Re: contributors

We took a couple of contributions from men last year but I'd have to say they were less than artistic and we have no plans to display them.  We're still open on the idea but if anything we'd give them a separate site - our research (well heresay) says that women would rather look at nked women than naked men, so overall the interest in guys is tiny.

As for the missing pics, well they get numbered sequentially when the artist submits her folio and we pick the best for the site.  The outtakes are generally way too out of focus or poorly framed or repetitive.

Re: contributors

Thanks for the quick reply.

One thing I've noticed... the picture that appears in the artist's profile of the girl's face is not included in her folio.  They are nice close and beautiful pictures of the girl.  Is it possible to include the full resolution picture as part of the folio?

Re: contributors

The Headshot is chosen from the full folio before it's edited.  Sometimes the picture itself ends up as an outtake for other reasons.  Usually you'll find it in the Public or Sponsor's folio.

Re: contributors

thanks for the reply...
my other question was about the artists' responses to comments.  Any?
thanks

Re: contributors

Well we've only been on the air two weeks and we never tell the artists when their 'fame day' is happening so most probably don't even know they're up.  The folios you're seeing now were shot late in 2002, mostly.  I know of two exceptions but so far she they have no comments to respond to, so get to it!

Re: contributors

I have to say that this is one of the best erotic/porn sites that I have ever been to.  The concept is just absolutely amazing: having girls shoot themselves in various poses and states of undress is brilliant.  It appears to really give the women a sense of liberation (and it also looks like it turns a lot of them on!).  They also are, to a girl, absolutely beautiful.  I really think you should let them know when their pics are posted on the site and when they get comments--it only seems fair, considering they took the time and effort to shoot themselves and send the pics.  Or, there should be a way for sponsors to contact the models via the website. . . I don't mean give out their email addresses or anything like that, but maybe have accounts for them that they can check if they'd like.  These are not complaints, so much as suggestions to make your excellent site even better for both the girls who shoot themselves and the sponsors who keep the site going.  Also, feel free to give any of the girls my email address haha--I'd love to trade pics or just chat with them smile.

Re: contributors

Thanks for the positive vibes indent, that helps make it worthwhile (there have been a few late nights getting this thing up, believe me).  We are currently working on a system which will give each artist her own login, even the ones which aren't up yet (there are about 300, the meter on the front page only shows the sets edited), so look out for some long overdue feminine input.  Maybe we better pretty this place up a bit, yetch it's ugly at the moment - our resident graffixgeek got it going before he went on a well earned hoiliday but didn't have time to much decorating.

Re: contributors

Whoa!  Talk about rapid response.  It's great to get answers so quickly . . . I really feel like a valued sponsor.  I'll be kind of sad when the site blows up and has like a million sponsors, cos you'll be swamped with comments.  But I'll also be happy for you--you'll make serious cash, the site will keep getting better, and everyone will be happy.  Glad to hear the girls will be able to log in.  Oh and btw, I found your website thru onlyundiesclub.com, another great site.  Thanks for the late nights and the attention to your sponsors.  You are tha bomb.

I like the design, it's minimalist. It's a nice change from other superfluous-graphic intensive sites, porn or otherwise. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing about the design.

Re: contributors

I was referring to the forums, not the site itself.   VBulletin is very versatile but takes a helluva lot of tweaking to make it pretty and turn off the extended features.  We do plan to make some changes to the main site layou too, though mostly just shuffling stuff around.  Any comments on the current layout and how it could be improved woudl be appreciated.

Don't I know it! Doing the same myself wink

Honestly, I like the current layout... even the forum. I've scene some hideous 'skins' around! Still, nothing like a little reshuffle to freshen things up.

Off on a tangent, kudos on the site; it's a great concept & in a class of it's own. I really like the idea of the models presenting themselves, how *they* want to be seen. The samples I've seen thus far are really well presented, aside from being beautiful, some of these girls are also really quite talented photographers!

As soon as I'm home (on the road atm), you've got my sponsorship (and I've never, ever sponsored an adult site in my 10+ years of 'net-geekdom).

Nice work all, really - keep it up.

That's funny.  "Er, dude, where are the DOOR HANDLES?"

We better fix that.

Re: contributors

Okay, the link at the bottom of each forum page, or if you click on the big logo at the top left, now go back to the site homepage.

The 'home' button in the menu at top right, however, links to the front page of the forums.

Hey SCSI - didn't you notice the dates on the previous posts.? Me thinks that your response may be a little late. Even I couldn't have responded to those, way back in July 2003 ;-)

Nope didn't notice the dates.  They're way up near the top and I spend most of my time sniffing the ground.
