Men on ISM

Having joined this site just the other day, I have wondered if I would have the nerve to do the same thing and not only take pictures of myself, but also to submit them here.

However, I do find the idea quite appealing, for as much the same reasons I have read from the posters here. Self exploration, sheer exhibitionism, fun, the chance to be daring, and the chance to celebrate the human body.

However, I am male, and I have noticed (not unnexpectedly) that the site is made up of contributions from women. Yes there are a few men pictured, but as far as I have noticed so far always part of a duet.

I'm just curious of the ideas people would have about a man/men contributing to this site. No I don't think there's any doubt that the majority of people who pay to subscribe to this site are hetrosexual men, and as such are looking to appreciate the female form, not the male. I fall into this catagory myself. I'm just very much tempted to take the plunge as it were.

I too would find it appealing to participate in this kind of thing, and also am a straight male (though not so straight that I can't appreciate a good-looking guy).

The hard thing to think about shooting myself; men's bodies have all kinds of features that are not so appealing, like body hair and receding hairlines and big feet. And, of course, penises, which clash with the kind of picturesque arc that women are blessed with. I've had girlfriends who find the look of a penis ridiculous, hilarious even. Hardly encouragement.

(I wonder what the reaction would be in a public forum to an erect penis? Would that seem too....much?)

Me, I'd probably just take 100 pictures of my ass, which is a pretty good one, leaving out my slight chest, bony knees and high forehead entirely!

A womans body is the main focus of sex. Not a usually a mans, I think women might be interested , but perhaps not enough to pay, but there's a large gay porn industry and it would definitely sit within that market in the same place that ISM does in the mainstream. I might be wrong, but I think although most of your paying fans would be men,  women would see your body, read all about you and you'd still get some possible kudos from that, which would be enjoyable, plus you'd get paid, so I think for a straight man, it would be worth doing.

I guess for me that ties into a long running issue I have with my girlfriend. Whenever she tells me I'm sexy, I dismiss it, not so much because I think she's lying, but because I don't see it myself. I think if I could see what she sees in that regard, it would do loads to boost my self-confidence.

i can't speak for other women (perhaps some of them will speak for themselves), but i actually enjoy looking at penises.  i like the variances between cocks and each one seems to have a minor but distinguishing characterisic.  they are very cool and since i do not have one myself, i figure i should investigate them as extensively as possible when i get the chance.  i don't really have that many opportunities to get to know new cocks, so i think an ism.boy kind of site would be great, and if i had the means to pay anything other than a phone bill each month, i would pay for it.  as far as art is concerned...there's been discussion about the aesthetics of the male body and it generally not being seen as "artistic" a subject as the female body.  while i can't argue that the smooth curves of the female body aren't especially incredible, because they are, i wouldn't say that looking at the male body is a completely unaesthetic experience.  but something else that i think would play into the pleasure of having such a site would be that i would feel as if the models were making themselves somewhat more vulnerable by having the guts to put their bodies out there in a non-violent, non-aggressive context (as most of the men in mainstream porn fuck like they have something to prove and look kind of threatening to me).  i think that, in terms of mainstream pornographic representations, men need to come down a step in aggressiveness and women need to take a step up, as they are more often portrayed as passive or not in control.  ism gives women an opportunity to take that step up by portraying themselves and controlling that environment, and something like it for men could provide a safe and sexy environment in which men could put themselves in a different, non-violent, non-threatening context.  i'm not saying that all men are sexually aggressive or violent, just that most of the pornographic representations of them construct them as such.  bummer for all of us, really.

I recollect raising the issue well over a year ago and I'm getting desparate now. Too much work and lack of excercise is making it less and less of an option as time goes by :-(

It would be nice to explore aggression and power in a good way. I've seen some good pictures of male bodies that do that.. They were in highish contrast b/w of muscle under compression and tension. I think using gymnasts, dancers & marshall arts. It's nice when that part of the male libido is put in context with the real world (Good marshall arts do that too). It's true, most porn does the opposite, and leads men in to thinking they have a right to express these tendencies, leading to violence and rape. That's been a point raised by puritanists for a long time. That porn encourages rape through disrespecting the subject. So one more site that's about respect and the portrayal of real people would be good.

What you have noticed is a reflection of the testicles' sensitivity to temperature. Spermatazoa need a specific temperature range for production and survival. As the air temp and body temp change, the cremaster muscle retracts and extends the testicles in order to keep them within that temperature range (4-5 degrees below core body temp). You are unlike most women. I had to un-learn what my feminist mother taught me. Most women want a man to act like a MAN - to be in control, protective, and take what he wants; from corporate or political leader to "bad boys". This has also been my experience. Romance novels sell well and the authors give the women readers what they want - hot, strong men who balance romance with iniative. Many women have rape fantasies, as un-politically correct as that may be. For the minority that want to act it out, its called "ravishment" and there are very clear groundrules to make sure that it really is consentual and risks of emotional, physical, and legal harm are minimized.

I don't find women in porn passive. I don't know any guys who like a "dead fuck", or a girl who just lies there. We want women who own and enjoy their sexuality and want us as much as we want them. So much porn is produced every year that makers have to meet consumer desires or face financial failure.

Playgirl magazine was women's answer to Playboy. That was the theory. The reality was most readers were gay men. ISM's of men would go that way too. "Gay for pay" is the rule for male actors wanting to make a living in porn. Its simply where the demand and money are.

I think you're right, that your thoughts on control aren't that rare. I do think Mark has something of a point though. Most women seem to want a guy that is assertive and confident. I don't think that is incapatable with what you are talking about though. It's possible to be assertive and confident without being threatening or "fucking like you've got something to prove."

On the other side of the equation, my own girlfriend had rape fantasies, and likes to be held down. She's very clear on the concept that it's just a fantasy, and says it's about the desire involved, not the violence. Despite this, she is not always passive. She is commonly the initiator, and I think that makes things fun and interesting.
