ARTISTS STATEMENT

Ich war schon immer zufrieden mit meinem Aussehen und bin viel offener mit meiner Sexualitaet umgegangen, als viele von meinen Freunden.Aber bis ich ueber dieses Projekt gestolpert bin, hatte ich nie darueber nachgedacht mich nackt zu fotografieren (zumindest nicht in so einem aufwaendigen Shooting, nur schnelle Fotos mit meinem Handy). Sobald ich also hier von gehoert habe, wollte ich mitmachen! Die wenigen Freunden, denen ich davon erzaehlt habe, waren nicht so begeistert von der Idee, aber das hat mich nicht aufgehalten. Ich liebe Abenteuer und Herausforderungen und das war einfach noch etwas neues, was ich ausporbieren musste. Ich finde dieses Projekt ist ein guter Weg um Leute dazu aufzuforderung selbstbewusster zu sein. Man sollte sich nicht schaemen nackt zu sein, es ist total normal, und man sollte da nicht so ein grosses Drama draus machen. / I have always been happy with the way I look and much more open about my sexuality than a lot of my friends. But until I stumbled upon this project I hadn't thought about shooting myself naked. (At least not in such an elaborate shoot, only quick shots with my cellphone before). As soon as I found out about this I wanted to take part! The few friends that I told about it were really apprehensive, but they couldn't stop me. I love adventures and challenges and this was just one more new thing I had to try. I think this project is a great way to encourage people to feel confident about themselves. People shouldn't be embarrassed to be naked, it is so perfectly normal, and shouldn't be such a big deal.

Why i shot myself: It was a challenge, I had to first try to see if I could do it and like it (I'm an adventurer and a perfectionist).
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: My parents. They can do it, but I don't want to see it!
