ARTISTS STATEMENT

As a dancer, I have created work with nudity and found that it is a strong and beautiful presence on the stage. It makes the work vulnerable, as the dancer is. Every movement, every muscle; exposed. The feeling of the moment and the sensation of the movement is fleeting. There is no hiding. There is no evidence other than memory. So why not capture it? A new experiment. A new challenge.

I like to smell: coffee. That first whiff to start your day. Good day? Horrific day? Or just mediocre?
I like to taste: red meat. I am carnivorous. Simple.
I like to feel: tickling on my feet. Childhood games and pleasure, now with a twist.
favourite part of my body: Feet. Tickling. They are a great tool for dance. Plus they are cute.
favourite part of someone else's body: Back. Watching a toned back move and twist.
Why i shot myself: I challenged myself. Did I smash the challenge?
Bands I like: Dropkick Murphys, Alexisonfire, Hollywood Undead, Guns N Roses (classic).
Books I like: Terry Pratchett, biographies, modern history, fantasy.
Films I like: Star Wars, anything Arnie, Sumo Do, Sumo Don't: action, sci-fi, kung fu, anime.
other random stuff: I am currently obsessed with MMA/UFC. I finally found a sport that urges me to yell at the TV. Survival of the fittest.
