| ARTISTS STATEMENT |
My art is a physical expression of emotions and what I want. I like using my hands to create, like making something out of the tip of a pencil. In this world of technology this is getting rarer, but I'm not going to become a graphic artist, not on the computer anyway. Public nudity is a stupid big deal, and for no good reason. I hate the way that a woman's body is never just her business, and participating in this project is my way of fighting back. I disagree that a naked photo of a woman can affect her job opportunities as though it is something dirty or shameful. I simultaneously enjoy and take care of my body, and am ashamed that it's so easy for us to never be happy with how we look. I am learning to love myself unconditionally, and loving the process.
