MATTILDA

ARTISTS STATEMENT
I tentatively investigated this project months before I committed to shooting myself. Although I thought it was an awesome concept, I was hesitant about exposing my body, not to the world, but to myself. I was the only one who needed convincing my body was enough, beautiful enough, brave enough, worthy enough. Through a series of deliciously sweet and unexpected opportunities, I have come to hold a knowing of what that means to me. I Shot Myself allowed me to explore physically how expansive and vast enough can be, how daring enough is, and how sexy I am.
