ARTISTS STATEMENT

J'ai participe a ce projet car d'abord je suis interessee par le corps et la nudite. Et c'etait comme faire du theatre, jouer avec sa propre image, etre quelqu'un d'autre. Il y a aussi le fait de partager une idee de la sexualite, de l'erotisme. Et cette approche permet de donner une dimension artistique a l'erotisme. En meme temps, ca apporte un acces a une plus grande realite, car ce projet laisse a des anonymes la possibilite de montrer leur sensualite. Pour moi, c'etait vraiment un defi, car se photographier avec la contrainte de l'appareil photo toujours avec soi, sans retardateur, empeche plein de possibilites, mais finalement on depasse ca et on trouve d'autres moyens d'exprimer ce qu'on veut. Genial! et bien drole! J'ai l'habitude de me photographier nue, donc ce n'etait pas nouveau pour moi, mais c'etait nouveau de le faire cachee de mes colocataires, un peu stressant mais excitant aussi! I did this project because I'm interested in the body and the nudity. And it was like doing theatre, playing with his/her own image, being someone else. There is also the fact of sharing an idea of sexuality, erotica. And giving an artistic dimension to the erotica. In the same time, it brings an access to the reality, because this project gives anonymous people the possibility to show their sensuality. For me, it was really challenging, because of shooting myself like that, delete a lot of possibilities, it's frustrating at the beginning, but after you come over that and you can find other ways to express what you want. Awesome! And funny! I used to make naked pictures of me, so it wasn't new for me, but it was new doing it hidden from my roommates, little bit stressful, but exciting as well!
