ARTISTS STATEMENT

I love who I am today. I can finally say that after 28 years I am comfortable being me. The more people I meet, the more I realise that there are not many women out there that feel that way about themselves and that makes me sad. I haven't always been confident, and I think it's for that reason, that I now value it so much. I am a life model and love my body, curves and all. I have no problem with nudity, I actually find it liberating and empowering. The human body is the most unique and wonderful work of art, it should be celebrated and not hidden. In regards to the project, I thought it would be easy, and eventually it was, but the first few shots were uncomfortable and I wasn't quite happy with the shots, so I kept at it until they became more fluid and it became heaps of fun! Now that I have done it, I want to do it again and again, as all these ideas keep presenting themselves to me! I hope you enjoy the portfolio.
