ARTISTS STATEMENT

I have pretty much spent my whole life, since the age of 12, hating my body. I would compare myself to other girls, wishing I was as skinny, as pretty, as 'perfect' as they were. This project was always going to be hard for me and I needed to try and love my body enough to let it be seen naked. I felt that if I could do this and be confident I had perhaps turned a massive corner in my life. Doing this project has made me feel like I am finally starting to accept who I am. In fact after seeing my pictures, deleting LOADS, and then finally being happy with what I saw has made me realise I don't look bad naked, in fact I look quite good; curves are not ugly. This is hopefully a new confident me, thanks Feck!
