ARTISTS STATEMENT

I believe everyone should be seen and should be heard. We are all beautiful in our own way, and I believe I Shot Myself encourages this. I enjoy being nude, wherever I am and I've been to numerous nude beaches all over NSW. I like to, along with everyone that knows me, consider myself a 21st century hippie. I seriously was born in the wrong era, I have a HUGE obsession with the 60's and the youth of this inspirational part of history. Their freedom to express their experimentation, nudity and loving is so inspiring, and I want to keep this spirit alive right through the 21st century. I am a very honest person who loves life, my friends and family, whom I will do anything for, but MOST importantly, myself! I look after myself really well and I have no hesitation in expressing myself to anyone that I meet, making them aware that I am bi-sexual, I like to photograph myself nude and I am young and willing to experiment anything, what else is youth for? I moved to Melbourne almost 2 months ago now to follow through with my dream of challenging myself to move out of my comfort zone to a city that I never have been to before, to a city where I know nobody here and experience everything it has to offer. I am completely pleased with my decision and am honestly proud of everything I've done in my life, always abiding by my motto "You only live once, LIVE YOUR LIFE". In my shots I wrote on my body favourite quotes and lines from inspirational songs that have changed my life and my perspective of it, so that I could convey a message to express what I believe in and hopefully change someone elses perspective on life, nudity, freedom, acceptance and love. All of which should be encouraged, embraced and enjoyed. "Enjoy your body, use it every way you can, for it is the greatest instrument you'll ever own".
