ARTISTS STATEMENT
I changed the location of this shoot more times than would have pleased me. For the setting for my original concept, I wanted to portray crumbled under the weight of sledge hammers, abusive builders, and yes, a little house fire. But uninjured and a little delayed, I went for a backyard setting where I could show off some fav hats and my most favorite walking cane. I began with a costume that consisted of felted wings representing underarm hair extensions and the biggest merkin you could imagine. Mirror-less and just learning the juggling limitations of shooting myself, I think I failed to capture the awesomeness of my friends costume design skills! None the less, I had fun in a friends backyard, busted by her new 18 yr old flatmate that blushed awkwardly. Fun times.

Why i shot myself: To continue owning my own direction. To maintain a focused, transient, hopefully un-indoctrinated state of being, to which I have become accustomed. And yes, to get my kit off in the sun!
