ARTISTS STATEMENT

A few weeks ago I was sorting through my old room at my mum's place, something I do somewhat regularly to fill in the many gaps of my debauched adolescence and selective memory. Here I stumbled upon a wonderful letter that I had written to myself as a 16 year old. The letter was neatly folded and lying quietly at the bottom of a big drawer full of treasured junk. The note read; Dear Me, Life is short and full of stress. Don't you ever dare to stop making art, having sex, falling in love and getting drunk. That's all really. Love Me I sat there for a moment quite stunned and then slipped the note back into the orchestrated mess that I had created, hoping to find it again in another five years.
