ARTISTS STATEMENT

This is the first time I have had any nude photographs taken of myself and I enjoyed doing it more than I thought I would. I have always been fascinated by nude art and did a term of life drawing classes (although I wasn't very good). I think 'ishotmyself.com' is a beautiful way of showing natural bodies that we are happy with and proud of. It's not something I would have thought I would want to do but I became more confident the more photos I took, and I would definitely do it again. We need to appreciate our bodies and I think this project has made me like myself so much more.
