ARTISTS STATEMENT

The main reason why I decided to take on this project, I Shot Myself, is because I wasn't feeling very confident or accepting of my body image. I have been very shy and I had never taken outgoing photos of myself before so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try something a little out of my comfort zone. This project helped me accept my body and has given me so much more confidence. I have realised that in life you get what you're given but everybody is beautiful in different ways. I love myself on the inside and the outside now. I feel very lucky to have a fit, healthy, young and beautiful figure that I'm proud of.
