ARTISTS STATEMENT

I like to take, "a walk on the wildside", I like to test the boundaries and I have an existential approach to life. This means we are all resposible for our own destiny. I found contributing to this project to be quiet liberating. Initially, I got involved to build my confidence, however, I found the experience very freeing and I felt proud of my body. I took up the character of a Temptress - Sabella the Showgirl. It made me think of life in the days of the Moulin Rouge. The use of a red scarf and black lingerie is reminiscent of the costumes used at the time.
