ARTISTS STATEMENT

Holding and engaging with the camera in a free environment is invigorating. I felt I could be myself and express my body in ways where there are no rules or boundaries. I Shot Myself was an exciting experience, it is more difficult than it looks but after a while I was comfortable. Being the first time I have ever used a camera in this manner, I really had to use my imagination to actually do the pose, and sometimes they didn't turn out like I had thought. I hope to do another shoot in the future exploring more avenues.
