ARTISTS STATEMENT

I shot myself for a myriad of reasons, but most importantly, I feel that with generational change public nudity becomes increasingly acceptable, and rightly so. Without intending to sound self-righteous I'm really glad I had the opportunity to do this shoot as I feel that ISM is extremely valuable, not only to the world of online erotica, but also in aide to the normalisation of the concept of nudity and sexuality. In turning the camera back on ourselves it forces us (in the best way ever) to become more comfortable with, aware of, and thankful for our physical selves, in a way which is completely controlled by the individual photographer. Surely this kind of creative freedom is an extremely worthwhile and rare commodity in the world of "porn" and should be valued as such. With that said, I hope you enjoy my shoot. Peace.

Most outrageous thing I have done: Ran away to Byron Bay with a friend. Obviously we returned, eventually.
Bands I like: Saul Williams, Beastie Boys, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Rowland S Howard and Nick Cave (forever), Portishead and literally hundreds and hundreds of others.
Books I like: There are hundreds. Favourite ever is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S, then maybe The Virgin Suicides by Eugenides and The Beach by Alex Garland.
Films I like: Anything by Larry Clark (Kids, Bully and Ken Park) plus Christiane F and Candy, directed by Neil Armfield. Not all the films I like are so tragic, I promise. I love The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.
