ARTISTS STATEMENT

Contributing to ISM was quite a liberating experience in terms of openly displaying and photographing myself. I felt like I pushed personal boundaries, but now Id like to go further and develop my theme more. Its an exhibitionist art form at many levels, and ranges from being subversive to dominant. Photographing myself at various stages of nudity enabled me to view and thus appreciate my body from angles inaccessible during daily life. I enjoyed this freedom of expression that was intimate and beautiful, and questioned what is considered taboo.
