ARTISTS STATEMENT

I'm intense and can be dark, but I always look for the brightest and sharpest shard of light in that darkness to pierce my heart and mind. Yoga is really important to that process. I liked the idea of doing this shoot as a woman of a certain age - when the erotica and general media industry is saturated with images of young women with perfect skin. My body is my currency - it is vibrant and alive and carries me through the world with force. Public nudity I can find quite banal, but public art I love, and I hope that I have created public art. I'd like to tattoo my whole body with my own writing. It's an ongoing project.
