ARTISTS STATEMENT

I have experience as a nude model in Japan, but this was my first time taking photos of myself, so I was able to discover a new side of myself. Ishotmyself has a lot of nude photos of women enjoying themselves, which was a new discovery for me. Taking photos of myself makes me feel like I can love everything about myself. When I did nude modeling in Japan, I felt that there was a strong pornographic element to it, but when I had my photos taken by a British photographer, I didn't feel that way. My experience with ISM was similar, but without the pornographic element. It's interesting to see how nudity is expressed differently depending on the country.
