ARTISTS STATEMENT

Expressing myself in this way was not easy at first. I had to overcome some negative feelings about myself, my body and about sharing my imperfections with others. This required being totally open and vulnerable. I was very shy initially but as I opened up to the idea of doing the shoot I noticed myself becoming more and more curious about myself and my inner world. I started challenging some false beliefs and changing the narrative and I noticed a shift within my consciousness. And now, nudity to me is about being raw and natural, open and vulnerable. You allow yourself to be seen, unfiltered and unapologetic. You’re saying "this is who I am, where I’ve been and how far I've come". Your unique life story is written in your scars, your stretch marks, your wrinkles. It's an honest reflection of your life experience so far. It's about having the courage to share your authentic self openly and freely with the world. There is nothing more liberating than that.
