ARTISTS STATEMENT

I am beyond glad that I decided to step out of my comfort zone and put together an I Shot Myself folio. What an incredible experience! I have struggled with my self image for a very long time so I initially approached the shoot feeling a little apprehensive and shy but after seeing so many women looking beautiful and confident in their skin, I thought why not try and let myself feel the same way. My favourite photos are the close ups of different parts of my body. Learning to love every dimple, scar or blemish has taken time but I now celebrate them.
