ARTISTS STATEMENT

Expressing my nude self alone helped me appreciate my body - helped me appreciate all my rolls and stretch marks that I never thought were beautiful. Now this shoot didn't just instantly heal this thought however it has definitely pushed me in the right direction to loving and accepting my nude self. This experience is not only for art but also my sex journey - I had a not so pleasant introduction to sex and it has definitely changed me. Living in a society that doesn't accept fatness in any way especially in porn, this folio opened my eyes to the reality of my body - the reality being I have rolls, I have stretch marks, I have excess breast tissue - THESE ARE THINGS THAT MAKE ME. And if someone is going to engage in sex with me they sure as hell gotta love this body that I am in - I am more than my body! Yes, I perhaps would change them if I could but I don't want to keep hating the body I live in - I live and experience life in this body. Why hate what helps you experience life in one way or another.

Why i shot myself: To see me for what I truly am - taking some pics from so many different angles it's strange but I embrace the weird.
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: No one - everyone has the right to be and feel confident
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: EVERYONE - you are all people with bodies. Share your beautiful body and shine with confidence
