ARTISTS STATEMENT

Through my eyes, sexuality is an energy that should remain sacred and nudity something treated with honour. Sexual pleasure carries a high frequency and shouldn't be something shunned or shamed whether we experience it with ourselves, with another or multiple others - so long as it is done with respect, safety; and the upmost ideal would be done with and from love. Our human bodies; Man and Woman are sovereign, beautiful, powerful. Through my artistic expression, I wished to portray these personal views and utter them through photographs which incorporated the feelings of harnessing the beauty and sacredness found in sexuality, focusing especially on feminine sexual energy. For me, the connection between nature and humans is crucial and undeniable which is why I always encorporate elements of nature within my art. For this particular project I felt drawn to flowers, because the most intimate and sacred part of a woman's body is her own flower - there is quite a magical connection between women and flowers I feel. Contributing to this project has felt freeing, and deepened my love for nudity and self expression. I also feel a deep appreciation for women globally and for the eyes who take in and appreciate these projects as well as the self exploration, the openness and the intimacy found within them. This project has also made me feel that being naked shouldn't be a big deal at all - we all have a body and were all born naked, it's our most natural state and should be experienced and cherished.

favourite part of my body: The finger that carries a ring that has a deep sentimental value
favourite part of someone else's body: Their eyes - you can really see everything through them
Why i shot myself: I wanted to experience my nudity by honouring every part of my body and capturing this intimacy through an art form. I also wanted to be a part of a community that empowers nudity and that features all different kind of bodies and beauty in a nonjudgmental space
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: Those who don't feel comfortable exposing their body, or don't feel safe sharing nude photos of themselves which is absolutely valid
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: Anyone wishing to find self-confidence, self-love and worship, and who would like to experience what it's like looking at your own body but through a form of art
Most outrageous thing I have done: Threw my phone under my house for 3 months
