ARTISTS STATEMENT

Hace un tiempo atrás una amiga mía, que es fotógrafa, tomó fotos de mi desnuda, y ahí me di cuenta que no era difícil mostrarme tal cual era. Pero esta es la primera vez que me fotografío a mi misma sin prejuicios o sin pensar en estereotipos. Me divertí, y pude sentirme libre gracias a la propuesta de ISM, que es no caer en los lugares conocidos. Me pude ver de otra manera. Antes de esta experiencia, cada vez que me tomaba una foto o me miraba en el espejo, lo primero que veía eran mis "imperfecciones". Creo que la belleza real se encuentra en lo extraño y en lo único, se trata de poder ver más allá, pero todavía me es difícil cuando se trata de mí. Por todas estas cosas, estoy muy feliz de haberme animado y de alentar a mis amigos a que lo hicieran también. / Some time ago a friend of mine who is a photographer, took nude pictures of me, and there I realized that it was not difficult to show myself as I was. But this is the first time I have photographed myself without prejudice or without thinking about stereotypes. I had fun and I was able to feel free thanks to the ISM proposal, which is not falling into familiar places. I could see myself in a different way. Before this experience, every time I took a photo or looked in the mirror, I saw first of all my "imperfections". I believe that true beauty is found in the strange, it's about being able to see beyond, but it is still difficult when it comes to me. For all this things, I am very happy to have cheered up, and to encourage my friends to join in as well.
