ARTISTS STATEMENT

Hello gorgeous people! I'm Regina. I'm a student and freelance model and I've shot photos and videos before, but nothing as relaxed and freeing as this. I also study music at college, and music is my life and obsession. I am fascinated by books (both fiction and non-fiction), I value learning and knowledge and will definitely miss college once I'm done. I adore old and new music, so much can be expressed through the art, and there's nothing like it. I also love to cook and despite my young age, I sometimes feel like a Grandma, constantly forcing my food onto my friends whenever they come over to my house. I was interested in the project because I can show myself fully. I'm not just talking about being "fully" nude, but rather all of my perceived "imperfections" and insecurities. It was a little bit confronting but worthwhile. I love my body and I love to show it in my photos. The female form is just so aesthetically pleasing and I myself really love to look at naked women too.

I like to smell: Fresh flowers at a market. It's such a fresh and green smell that I can't get enough of
I like to taste: Sweet things and desserts. I love a decadent fruit tart or freshly made brownies
I like to feel: Safe and secure and loved from the people I adore
favourite part of my body: My back. I used to think it was too broad and was self-conscious about it, but now I absolutely love it
favourite part of someone else's body: I really love a nice chest and arms on a man
Why i shot myself: I took these photos because I wanted to share this part of myself with the world. I hope you enjoy what you see!
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: My best friend. Not because I don't think she would do a good job, but because she is like my sister and it would feel so awkward! If she really wanted to though I would never stop her, I just probably wouldn't look at her shoot, haha
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: Happy people and anyone who wants to do a shoot!
Most outrageous thing I have done: I once stole a cabbage from a grocery store when I was a teenager for no other reason except boredom
Bands I like: Queen, Prince, Ludovico Einaudi, Erik Satie, Max Richter, and late 90's/early 2000's boy and girl bands when I want to dance
Books I like: The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, and wordy, confusing science books. I particularly love learning about astronomy
Films I like: Interstellar, Moon, Burlesque (a guilty pleasure!)
