ARTISTS STATEMENT

Je viens de l'art, j'ai etudie les arts graphiques et l'illustration, je suis aussi photographe, et a cote de ça je vends mes nus sur le web, tout en recherchant toujours l'esthetique et les ambiances. Faire le folio d'Ishotmyself etait un defi, sans minuterie ni trepied, pour essayer de prendre de bonnes photos interessantes. C'etait aussi et surtout un sentiment de m'exposer que je n'ai pas en prenant des nus pour le travail. Perdre un peu de controle sur l'aspect technique de la photographie et faire un decor qui n'etait pas prepare auparavant m'a donne le sentiment d'etre beaucoup plus vulnerable, et de montrer plus, plus intimement que d'habitude. / I come from art, I studied graphic arts and illustration, I'm also a photographer, and besides that I sell my nudes on the web, while still looking for aesthetics and atmospheres. Doing the Ishotmyself folio was a challenge, without a timer or tripod, to try and take good and interesting pictures. It was also and mostly a feeling of exposing myself I don't have when taking nudes for work. Losing some control on the technical aspect of photography, and doing a set that wasn't prepared before gave me the feeling of being way more vulnerable, and of showing more, more intimately than usual.
