ARTISTS STATEMENT
My feelings around being nude have changed quite a bit since the experience of childbirth. I had always considered myself pretty free and open when it came to nudity, but having both your closest people and total strangers present for your most ugly, vulnerable, and glorious moments, and seeing the truth of your own body changes everything. A year on from that experience I can say that I appreciate my body in a whole new way. Any trace of prudishness has evaporated and I now enjoy even the parts of me I previously wished I could change. In participating in this project I hoped to rediscover the individual and sensual aspects of my body which had been forgotten.
