I left Chicago two years ago to travel because I didn't love myself and a boy broke my heart. Since then, I've busied myself with solitary wandering and self discovery. Part of me has desperately been seeking another partner to fill that hole but men just continuously disappoint me. This sounds so cliche but I've realised I need to peel away all the layers and truly find myself. I'm a dancer, so I've always been comfortable sharing my body with an audience but this project made me wonder, am I comfortable with that kind of intimacy all by myself? I've recently quit wasting my energy on men, alcohol, drugs and bad habits. I'm one month sober and almost a year without sex. This is a celebration of that freedom. I'm finally learning to love myself. I can't think of anything more sexy than that.
