ARTISTS STATEMENT

I feel more comfortable in my skin the older I get than when I was a young teenager or woman. It took me so long to love the skin I am in, and I still have body image issues with myself to this day, but I have learnt to embrace the bits of me I don't love as much, and to not worry about being perfect or to compare myself to other women that are flawless and to let go of these issues that hold me back about my body. Doing this photo shoot was me letting go of my fears and setting the goal to free myself by celebrating who I am, and not wanting to change a thing about me, good or bad. The photo shoot really did give me wings to set me free of my past fears in relationship to my body.
