EVA-LUNA

ARTISTS STATEMENT
I grew up never feeling at home within my own body, and wondered how much of myself would be different if I had been born into a different body, and very much wanted to disconnect from my physical body. But then I began to start pushing my mental barriers, and felt that as I accept my body, I would learn to accept my place in this world, and understand myself a lot more. I stopped wearing bras, grew out my hair, embraced my nudity, and learnt to love my body as an expression of nature, of Mother Earth, learnt to love the connection it gave me to my sisterhood, and the liberation we embraced with being comfortable with our bodies and nudity, and to not feel ashamed or buy into ideas of what it means to look or be women.
