ARTISTS STATEMENT

I have no notions of my female body as some kind of sacred temple or untouchable fruit to defend and protect. My tits, ass, vagina, face, legs are just a vessel. Since we all seem to take a universal pleasure in the viewing of these vessels, why not share them without apprehension, qualm, or judgment? Nudity, sexuality, and provocation should not be sources of shame. It is an incredibly flawed cultural construction to both value and condemn the naked body. An exposure of what is under my clothes is simply an expression of my corporeality, my living, breathing, sweating, stinking existence. And its a corporeality that is as arbitrary as it is fleeting. I chose to participate in ISM because of this transience, why not capture myself in a particular moment in time and share my body as it was when I was 22, living in a shitty van, high and happy and free?
