ARTISTS STATEMENT

After it all, I can say that I'm proud to submit this collection of photos of my body, in all its imperfect 'genuinity'. I've chosen to keep it a dirty little secret from most of my friends (and my boyfriend), but it's empowering to see photos of myself so bare and exposed, especially knowing other people are going to see them as well. It was super sexy when I got turned on by images of myself - what an incredible way to explore your own sexuality! I tend to enjoy challenges that put me out of my comfort zone and help me grow, and I consider this one of them. It took a while for me to loosen up and get creative, but a after few photos into each session, I started to have more fun with different positions that represent who I am. This is a beautiful expression of the truest version of myself. Most people in my life don't know this version of myself, and honestly, before ISM, neither had I. This is me, this is pure, this is real, and I think it's beautiful!
